Height of components in system
I heard that the waterblock should be the lowest point in the system to avoid getting bubbles trapped in the maze2. This makes sense.
Now, what should be the highest portion of the system? The pump? Or does it really not matter all that much since I'm probably talking about a few inches anyway? Thanks, Jason |
The way I see it, if you have a bleed line to trap air, eventually all the air in your system will end up there. It may take weeks for each bubble to gradually dissolve and then come out of solution at the right time to entre the bleed line, but it will get there in the end.

With a decent pump it won't matter where the waterblock is, the bubbles move very fast with my 1/2" and Mag-Drive 350 (almost to fast to see!).
The T-fittings also doesn't need to be the highest item in the system, it just helps to be after the pump output, on the highest section of that hose (the pump tends to collect the bubbles) so that the bubbles that are stuck in the pump can rise out easiest if you shut off the computer. |
Ok, thanks!
