Asus P4T-e OC problems
I got my water cooled case and new system built and running. I am at 2640ghz with a FSB of 120. I pumped the Vcore to 1.85 from 1.5 on a Northwood 2.2 P4.(wire trick) I am suposed to be able to get up to around 142 fsb. I cant get it to run at 133 FSB. I can boot at 133, giving me a CPU of 2.96 ghz. But after a few min I blue screen. This setting only puts me .2-3 hz more on the AGP and PCI bus. I cant pin point it yet. The best thing is that I can run my system like this at 100% load and I ave about 36-39 Deg C. My GF4 is running at 320 GPU and 710 mem also and is about twice as cool with the water block on it also.
Any ideas? My P4T-E is the good one too with eteh ICS clock generators also. This is supposed to be the "real overclackable " P4T-E Asus board. |
run your ram at 3/4 speed, see if you get any higher

I have put it at 3x and at auto ( the lowesed setting and I have the same problem. The strange thing is I have made it up to 125 FSB which puts my PCI and AGP wayyyy out of spec and it is running fine. But my mail goal was a 133 FSB, I cant get it to run for more thatn 15 seconds there. At 133 FSB I lower the PCI and AGP slots back to almost default specs too. I has to be a crappy CPU or somthing with the memory I guess. On some of the OC forums, there are guys running at 142 + fsb withe teh 1.85 Vcore I have no problem. Sigh...
