Hi and my current project

Hi all, I finally registered and stopped lurking. By way of introduction here is my current project. I hope you like it.

Mods, I dunno whether I'm allowed to link to other forums, if not please delete this post. Thanks

That's just sick and wrong!!!

I like it!!!!

Cyco-Dude 04-28-2002 09:22 PM

parrallel bongs? whats that heater core there for then? man, you gotta clean that room up lol

now the Q is: will running a 2nd bong give any benefit over running 1 bong? will any performance increases be worth the hassle?

Xel 04-28-2002 09:39 PM

I'd switch to bongs but having OPEN water around computers scares me...

a lot...

sn1per 04-28-2002 10:29 PM

i would do bongs (evaporative cooling that is)...but my bladder control problem prohibits me from being around running water for to long...shower doesn't count though since i just relive myself there ;p come on...you know you pee in the shower ;p

Cyco-Dude 04-29-2002 01:31 AM

no, thats what the toilet is for (and is conveniently located just a few feet from the shower ;p )

Brad 04-29-2002 02:28 AM

are you going to run the two bongs in series or parrallel?

lol,my case must petrify you then:D

funky funky. How tall is it?

Skydiver 04-29-2002 10:41 AM

Volenti - one of the coolest cases I've ever seen. Well done mate.

Brad - in parallel, I'd need a dedicated pump to run them in series, and that would also mean the second bong would have cooler water in it, so deltaT between water and air would be less, evaporation less, and so less cooling (I think).

Cyco-Dude - you're right I DO need to clean it all up, but I'm still building it :) This rig is a great base for doing reviews and comparisons. The heater core is awaiting the arrival of a DEEP rad from CoolHardware for a review. The review should be complete by the weekend if Jess gets me the rad for Thursday.
Will 2 bongs be worth it. Dunno, but I will soon. I will do direct performance comparisons. Simply by turning a tap on/off I can switch units in and out easily.

Marco - overall height is (reaches for tape measure) 7'4" or 223cm, water head is 6'4" or 192cm.

Is it worth it? Do I care, I'm having fun :) But I do have 3 pootas I want to water cool. Glad you like it, thanks for the comments.
