radiator question
So I'm looking at these Black Ice radiators and everyone is always talking about how great they perform. Now I was just wondering why are they all black. Im not the brighest person in the world but I thought that dark colors tend to hold heat in. Is this true, and could it be something stopping these excellent radiators from removing just a little more heat from the water?

it really wouldnt matter that much if they where painted with diff colors (which there are some other colors now) what ur thinking is with sun light and how black absorbs heat....and lighter colors reflect it....different principle

radiator
so it doesnt actually "hold" heat in is what your saying?

I have had my rad both way painted and not painted couldnt tell not 1c difference
|
plus... the red and blue ones are SO much cooler! :D
|
if the paint was really thick it'd limit heat transfer, but how the BI's ship the paint is too thin to really matter
