thats a big heatercore! i wouldve used two fans to cool it instead of one tho...

Must be a really old CPU it has a key to wind it UP! LOL :D

The"key" thing in the center of the block must be part of the hold down yes, how about more info on your water block?

That heater core looks like the one I bought. Common core #2-199, GDI part #39-8219, paid 15.99 at O'Reillys. Listed as 9 1/2" X 6 1/8"

The heatercore is from an opel rekord 79-model. The intake/outlet was not like your drawing, but came out on the side of it, so i hade to cut off , make new holes, and solder in the front.
I paid about 15 bucks for it from a scrapyard.(and Norway is an expensive country, i'll promise u!!:)

The mounting for the waterblock is made of plexi.It's mounted in the 4 holes in the motherboard, and with a screw in the center of the plexiboard to add pressure to the waterblock. The waterblock is homemade. I used drill to make one BIG cave in the copperblock..hehe.. no spiral inside. just one big hole :D

How is the center screw set up to exert pressure on the block? I cannot determine this from your images?
I am not doubting you, I just cannot see the complete component.

it's threads in the centerhole of the plexi.:p

jim, it most likely installs the same way as Unablock (Zultan, correct me if im wrong :D)

That was one of my thoughts, could the plexi crack?
