OC and MEM`
I still cant get my ASUS P4T-E to a 133 FSB with the dips.
Is it possible that having ECC memory (RAMBUS) could be the killer? Voltage is at 1.85, on a 2.2A P4 and its water cooled. The MOBO is the good one too with the ICS clock gens. |
have you tried running at 133/100, then you can see if it's your cpu or ram
|
133/100, is that the mem multipler?
I have set it in BIOS to 2x no turbo and auto no turbo. Then I tried teh 133 fsb and I can boot at 133, but I bluescreen out in about a couple mins. Windows thinks its "saving me" from somthing. |
it is the option to run the memory at 3/4 of the fsb speed. I'm sure it's somewhere in the p4t-e bios, or even in the dip switches. It will all be in the manual ;)
|
sorry brad, I cant find that option anywhere.
|
is there a thing that says rdram multiplier? It might be set to 4x currently.
|
yes there are 3 settings in it. 4x, 3x and auto.
Also a setting for turbo and no turbo. I turned off turbo and tryed 2x and auto. no go. |
