which wc kit?
 

I'm seriously considering watercooling, but i'm not exactly ready for a home-built system. (I can build stuff, but i don't have the guts to build something myself that has water in it:))

I've been loking at kits, and i've narrowed it down to the dtek, DD or swiftech kit. I'm leaning towards the swiftech kit with the mcw462-u water block.

deos anyone have any thoghts?

the swiftech can come in a case which makes it the easiest out of any of them, but the DDen is probably the best kit overall

D-Tek kit seems great as well.

DDen, but thats like building it yourself anyway, you gotta put it all to gether, erc. (if I'm not mistaken). It is a far supperior kit (Maze 3 + Eheim 1250 + Black Ice Extreme). But if you want the easiest, with stil good performance, I'd suggest the swiftech Q power (almost silent, and the Lite On case it comes in is nice, has 120mm fan spots)

quality, performance, upgradeability... i would have to say DangerDen... but i havent really used anything else =)

you guys kind of misunderstood me; I'm not afraid of putting a something like the dd kit together, i just don't have the guts (or energy) to build a custom rig (i.e. making a block etc.).

The dd kit is probably the best kit for me, and the setup i want is a little cheaper than the swiftech.

bob, i definately don't need a new case. I just got a black chieftec full tower.:)

dtek or DDen...ive got DDen stuff myself. if you are getting a kit, you might want to get it from Cooltechnica , as they;ld probably ship it faster (DDen takes about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks).

D-tek kit has a great rad with a nifty shroud.
DangerDen kit has a great block and a Eheim.
I'd mix some components :p

Umm apparently I'm missing something. Do they actually make a Watercooling kit that comes fully assembled without a case?

not that i know of. a 'kit' is just all the components you need to set up a watercooling system.
BeCooling also sells kits...

I'd recommend buying the parts you need from either DangerDen or D-Tek. You should buy an Eheim 1048 from http://seame.com/ as you're a Swede like me :)
The 1048 only costs "485 kr inkl moms + frakt" from them which is a bargain, of course you have to pay with VISA or Mastercard but that's the easy part.

A DD system would consist of a Maze-3 and a Heater Core and you'd have to build yourself a shroud for the core but that's no biggie.

If you choose D-Tek they carry the amazing Gemini block which outperforms some other popular blocks:

I'd guess it's equal to or slightly better than the Maze-3.
D-Tek also carries some excellent heater cores with shrouds to save you some work.

The shipping from D-Tek is a little high, 60$ for USPS is not cheap.. DD would charge you $25 so it should be accounted for when you make your decision.

Additionally, purchase some water wetter to prevent corrosion and improve cooling efficiency, and go with silicon or tygon tubing and 1/2" on all parts.. that is 9 mm ID. 3/8" is only 7 mm ID.

As for the Danger Den, if you do go with them, I'd recommedn the Black Ice Extreme instead of the Cooling Cube.

$21 is a reasonable price? my 120mm panaflo m1A at 7v is dead silent, and costs me $5 hehe. actually i have two of them.

Eheim provide adapters specifically designed for their pumps. Ask your local pet shop they usually carry those items.

The Eheim 1048 comes with 1/2" (13 mm) hose connections on both the suction and pressure side. Works great with 1/2" tubing (9 mm ID), slightly too large for 3/8" tubing unless you're using silicon or tygon which stretches.

Thats where I bought mine. Awsome service. The only problem was thier on the east coast and I'm out west so it took a month of sundays to get here

Check with Danny. He's using UPS now for shipping, so he may be able to get you a better price on shipping by using UPS now. I'd definitely check with him on it.

Also, he carries Tygon tubing now so if you order from him, you could go ahead and order that while you're at it.
