Amount of water

Just wondering if anyone has ever thought about how much water they have in their water cooling setup. The closed systems will have less water which will heat up faster. I'm guess the the high temps will make this kind of moot though.

Exactly. The amount of coolant as well as the specific heat of the coolant are meaningless. All that matters is thermal conductivity.

Mine has a little less then one L though if I had to guess.

Yep sooner or later the coolant will reach the same overall temperature. The more coolant the more thermal inertia, so with lots of coolant you've got a less reactive system (heats up slowly, cools down slowly as well).
I've got a closed-loop and i think i've got less than 1 liter of water in it.
