Ehiem parts

Does anyone know where i can get parts for my Ehiem 1250 online? I checked my local fish store but they dont carry Ehiem products. Also has anyone used an Ehiem 1250 submerged. I want to build a plexi res that will house the pump, but i dont know if i can fit it inside my case infront of the front fan. From all the pictures that Ive seen everyone uses their 1250 inline. There is definatly not enough room for a pump and a res, and i dont want a closed loop system. Any help will be much appreciated. thanks.

Having a reservoir doesn't imply "big". I like my system a lot, it all fits on the motherboard side of the cube case, that will change soon as I will replace the rad with a heater core.

Its not the res that would be big, but the pump is about 7 inches long and about 4 high, so a res would have to be pretty big to fit it and coolant.

Well, run the pump in-line with a separate small res. That's my point. You don't need a big awful res.. besides, why waste all the heat generated by the pump into the water?
An Eheim 1250 uses 28 Watts of electric energy, and gets very warm to the touch. As a comparison, the Eheim 1046 is only 5 Watts.

Ohhh i see what you are saying. I could put a res in an empty 5 1/2 bay. Would it be very hard to make a plexi res to fit in a 5 1/2 bay? thanks for the help.

No, you'll have to make it yourself (or import it from Sweden!)

Not hard though...
