is d-tek rad better than black ice pro
 

Well my temps just suck. I'm thinling of stepping up to the D-TEK heater core. Do any of you run this setup and is it efficient. The D-TEK looks more like a regular car core and looks alot bigger than the Bi pro. I think the size of the Bi pro is restricting my flow:shrug:

How much, above ambiant, is your temp?

16c right now I'm running at 42c and I'm running the chip at stock speed. I had it O/Ced but my system temps are to high I'm waiting for my northbridge chip block to come.

really, that high huh? I never see temps above 38C

The Dtek core is good, and with the duct its even better, I am able to turn the volts down on my panaflow and still get good cooling. I gots a 950 Duron sitting at 1300 well almost. with high volts. Im sure that if I got rid of my Rio pump my temps would be even lower.

I have never used the BIX I see no need, I fousnd something that works good, is cheap and im stickin with it. I have 2 of the rads.

Hey fixittt. Thanks for the info. Those temps I reported are with my 2 120mm fans at 7volts. If I turn it up to 12v then my cooling is alot better but I like the quietness:D It does look like the air flow would be quite a bit better on the D-TEK due to the duct.

What are you using to read your temps?

hey, NP. I guess one of the biggest things to do, is make sure that the air path is unabstructed (Did I get that right?) make sure the air can get straight to the fans. I cut some blow holes in the front of my case where the Rad is, and MAN what a difference. temps were better, and the NOISE went way down!.

I'm using MBM5 and I do have a ducting in the front so I'm getting good flow. Should the flow go in the case or out the case? I have 2 120mm going in. If you look at my avatar youll notice the northbridge heatsink is right up to the CPU socket and that sucker gets hot I wonder if this is the problem. Anyway I bought a northy waterblock from DD so that should take of the northbridge problem.
