Temps rising
I have had my water cooled system running a p4 at 2750 now for about 2 months. My load temps are 41c and idle 32 c.
I have noticed tht the last few days I am getting temps up around 47 at load. If I look at my hoses, I can see teh water is flowing fine, but is it possible somthing is reducing its abillity to cool as well as it was? I have WW in teh system, not a ton but a fair amount. any suggestions? Do you have to periodically change the water out? |
could it possibly be 6 degrees hotter in the room where the computer is?
|
Na same temp there, about 72 deg all the time...
Is it possible for algie ir somthing growing in teh water making it not as effective to cool? Is there a periodic time table to follow for changing coolant out? |
you may wanna check the radiator to make sure it's not clogged with dust.

Thanks, but its actually real clean, the whole system is only 2 months old. Water looks like its moving the same speed, so teh pump is mooving water ok, but still I have gained about 5 d C in the last 2 days.

how is your block mounted? could it be slipping down a little, or not tight enough?
|
Its mounted real good, it has 4 points and springs along with retension clips, I will double check that.
|
if its possible you could lay your case on its side and push down on the block for a bit, then watch the temp see if it changes. Also if you're measuring temp by the socket probe, then if you have updated your bios lately, that could definitely change the temp reading.
