threading channels in crossdrilled wb
Im planning my new waterblock design. Im going on the old and proved crossdrill design. Im thinking of threading all the holes in the block to increase surface, bad idea or a way to greatness ? :)

The threading will help by introducing a small bit or turbulance into the outter flow of the water. What I would try and do, is take some sort of aluminum or SS screen, an cut small slots in the block and incert some screen into the channel, the seal up the slots with JB weld or epoxy. that way when the water flows thrue the screen, it is brocken up a bit. Just to interupt the pattern of flow in the channels.
May work, may not...... what have you got to loose? |
absolutely nothing. it will probably be better than my current setup either way :)
