Polypropylene vs Brass Fittings?
 

What is/are the difference/s between Polypropylene and Brass Fittings? Does one hold the tube better than the other? Stick to the waterblock better? I'm planning on either getting DD's Maze3 or that giant spir@l :p

if Im understanding U right, poly fittings are plastic, and with them, an IDIOT warning should some with them. They are plastic. and with any plastic, to much force will crush them. A snug fit on a hose clamp should do fine, Dont crank them down.

A brass fitting, is well.... brass, harder material, U can smash a hose on them. Which will make it a bear to get back off. I have been looking into poly fittings, I love them, they are not as bulky, or that ugly brass color.

But like I said, Poly fittings should come with a warning, Cause U know someone (prolly me) will crank the hose clamps down way to tight. :)

If you use tygon tubing, they'll stick to plastic/poly fititngs like something else. Tygon stick to brass, too, but it relaly sticks to plastic. I don't really have a preference myself, but it's something to think about.

You're right on the money. I guess my pref will be brass cause i'll be too paranoid about water leaking out and clamp it down too hard.

Ployprop fittings are usually thicker than copper ones. That means for the same OD poly fittings have a smaller ID.
I've never cracked polyprop fittings even with overtightened metal clamps. Also tygon tubing sticks so well on those, clamps are not needed.
With copper fittings you'll need clamps everytime. But better flow and "round" elbows make them *quite* interesting.
If i had the choice i'd go with slightly oversized copper fittings for the better flow.
