Where are everyone getting their 1/2" discharge adapters for AquaVia 1300?

My Aquavia 1300 only came with huge 3/4" and 5/8" discharge adapters. Where can I find 1/2" ones that will screw into my pump?

I already got the 3/8" Tygon and don't feel like returning the two pumps back to becooling in exchange for their preassembled 1/2" fitted pumps.

Thanks guys. New at water cooling. Kinda confused.

you can find new barbs at a hardware store :p

damn, ive seen a lotta ppl here that live in Ohio.....weird.....
yes im in OH too ;)

Yeah, that is weird. There's Ohioans everywhere nowadays.

I know that becooling uses the 1/2" adapter on their preassembled aquavia 1300's, but i called them asking if they could sell me any and they never replied. All I need to know are where to get those things.

Will the metal barbs fit my pump, though? Or are pump adapters pump-specific?

well, they probably have standard 1/2" threads, so any NPT 1/2" threaded barb should fit it. does the instructions sheet say what size the threads are? you can always do what i did - take the thing to home depot and start screwing barbs in to see what fits :p
but try 1/2" first. it might be a little hard to get in, so instead of using a metal barb to test fit try using a plastic one instead. and when you do get the correct barbs, pick up some teflon tape too; you'll need it to seal the barbs (dont use stuff like goop on the barbs, use teflon tape only).

I measured the threads and they're 3/4". Is that too big or nonstandard?

hrmm.. since all you via aqua ppl are here... is there any problems you have had with the pumps next to your monitor? and are they SILENT.. or just quiet?

babybunny 06-13-2002 10:17 PM

Wow, I am stupid. Went to hardware store and got the adapters.
Thanks guys.
