TC-4 Waterblock

Anyone tried it yet or know of any reivews?

If you have one, how you like it? And what temps are ya getting?

Heard some good thing about it.

schoolie 06-13-2002 03:46 PM

What have you heard about it? Everybody agrees that it looks cool, but I haven't seen any realiable numbers published.

Thanks,

I would like to see some testing too. I wish the pro-staff would get back to testing ;)

I just heard that it was supposed to be shit-hot. I can't find any reviews of it right now. Found a reference to one on the forums at subzerotech.com, but can't get to it. Unfortunately, I haven't heard any numbers or anything. But I post/read about 5 of these forums daily, so if I hear or find anything i'll post it here.

I have seen the TC-4 running in an AMD rig. It was an AMD 1800+ running @ 166x11.5 @ 2.1 volts. The chip was running @ 30C idle and never got over 36C.

To top it off it looks killer! I'm waiting for the P4 top..:D :D :D

What was the temperature of the water going into the block and what was the flowrate through the block? Without the water temp, it's impossible to guess how well the TC4 performs.

If it can hold an 1800+ at 30C, it's pretty amazing... I'd have expected 40C, or at least high 30's.

i agree i have a xp1800(172x10.5) and at 2.1 volts i hit about 35.5c to 36c with a ambient of 23c

temps are taken with comunurse probe touching the core

schoolie 06-14-2002 02:39 PM

Yeah, it's prolly within 0.1C/W of the best water block available.

You can add roughly 7C - 10C to the compunurse reading for a reading that would equate to the on die sensor reading. My 8K3A reads on die and my compunurse is 7C - 10C lower.
