Try a forum search on cpufx and I think you'll learn a lot about the company:)

I wonder if the pump is constructed from a copper alloy?:evilaugh:

Cyco-Dude 06-13-2002 06:32 PM

Oh, THAT one! I did see that one on the site, but wasn't sure if that was the one being referred to. 180GPH? My Eheim 1048 get 128GPH...and I imagine that the 1250 does even better. How's that pump supposed to work any how? Magnetic?

Cyco-Dude 06-13-2002 06:55 PM

they say its a mag-drive pump that runs on 12 volts...

chazz469 06-13-2002 06:58 PM

That alone seems kind of shady. I'm conforted by the fact that my pump plugs into the wall.

Stepback 06-14-2002 12:18 AM

That is the pump I posted in this thread http://forums.procooling.com/vbb/sho...&threadid=3321. They took there sale pitch right out of the thread and are quoting numbers for different pump in the same thread.... morrons.

This pump still rocks by the way. It's every quite and running my Xp 1800+ at stock speed of 1533 temps cpu 34/northbridge 35, And OC at 1725 temps cpu 36/ northbridge 37.

WebMasta33 06-14-2002 02:07 AM

But the pump is $99.99.... I'm sorry, but no.....

I'll stick with my Danner350 thank you. I personally don't like the idea of your pump running off your PSU as well....

Brad 06-14-2002 05:53 AM

why can't they just ****ing go and die?

No need for a P-Q curve; the pump is so incredible that you wouldn't believe it anyway!

UpAllNight 06-14-2002 10:10 AM

oh im so sure they did some serious testing to come up with this quote..."Better than Ehiem pumps!!!"

im being sarcastic...:D

At leaking?

At dying early?

At shorting out when they die and killing your PSU?

:D

MeltMan 06-14-2002 05:18 PM

Brad 06-15-2002 04:51 AM

well, if its the exact same pump as mentioned in this thread, it seems to be all right. if you look on CPUfx's site, it does have the same specs.......

Brad 06-15-2002 04:02 PM

what's the bet those bastards saw that post, and immediately tried to buy them up in bulk. how much did the one from jabesco cost?

Cyco-Dude 06-15-2002 05:04 PM

to be honest, i wouldnt be surprised lol

Stepback 06-16-2002 03:38 AM

Brad: From jabsco it's $129.

They sent me an engneering sample to test out. I thought it was nice of them to send it. I beleave this is a great pump. It was designed by jabsco for hot water circulation because they where getting so many people asking about a low power, high gpm, continuously rated, 12v pump. I think it sux the cpufx has just turned a lot of the cooling community away from a great product. I realize that a lot of people don't wan't to run a 12volt pump and i've seen a lot of people asking about them. I did a lot of research to find this pump and share it with the community. It just pisses me off that there are people out there that will do anything to make a buck!!
