3/8 silicon toobing does fit over the output. It is the input that is the problem. I got a little short 1/2" tube and an straight barb adapter from 1/2" to 3/8" and it works just fine. I bought this from McMaster-Carr Plumbing shop (http://www.mcmaster.com/) on the web. Danger Den actually sell the same kit (http://www.dangerden.com/mall/misc_hardware.asp).

Cannibus:
Take look here www.eheim.com/technik_pumpen.htm

Hint Metric Pipe Thread has equivalent in US Pipe. Was it 17MM?

Ah it's 13MM thats 1/4" NPT x 3/8" I.D. Barb
- Actually you should use copious amounts of Teflon tape and/or both Teflon tape and Liquid White Teflon as the 13MM tap is started lower in the top housing. The Eheim 1048 is also 13MM and with "normal" amount of teflon tape - there shows a dab of seepage. Along with the Green Food Dye.
While you're there pickup an assortment of spring steel hose clamps. Brown, Red and Green. You'll need mainly reds. Should be 20 Cents a piece.

1/2 inch is the thread size for the intake on the 1250... test to see if I'm right... 3/8 is the thread size on the output... I had to buy male branch tee adapters for a dualy system. I just bought all the sizes and those two fit.

I believe the output is 1/2 inch, but I believe the input is 5/8 inch. At least that's what the specs are. Those are outside diameters for these fittings.

Not sure why the different hose sizes. I guess they are designed to work with certain aquarium filters, etc.

Excuse the double post, but I did not specify previously that I was providing specs for the Eheim 1250. I ordered one a week ago. Waiting on it now.

I've got one since yesterday :).

Bach-on, He's looking for the pipe fitting threads on the pump. Not the hose sizes. You got the hose sizes right. However the threads are the sizes I stated before

input - 1/2 thread
output - 3/8 thread
