Used coolant: residue settled out of solution!!??
 

Ok, a while back I changed out my coolant. Now, for some reason, my coolant was purple & opaque, not red. (I use WW & distilled water). It had been purple from day one.. hmmm. Anyways, I put the solution in a mason jar and I've let it sit for about a month. There is about a 1/4" of grayish white powdery residue at the bottom of the solution, and the liquid is a lovely shade of purple, and it's clear. What's going on?

Maybe the heater core wasn't completely cleaned out???
