thunderbird 900 mhz
I have a thunderbird 900 mhz with a 100 mhz fsb. I unlocked it and can't go above 1ghz with my current HSF. Do any of you have experience with this processor? Are they capable of using a 133 fsb. I tried upping hte fsb to 133 and lowering hte multiplier so the clock speed was around 1 ghz, but the comp didn't even start when i tried turning it on. Just wandering what any of you have gotten the clock speed up to.

the cpu itself isn't fussed about the fsb, it will be the board/chipset. what do you actually have?
It'd be better for you to hit pricewatch and just buy a new cpu that is much quicker at stock speeds and will overclock higher than your old tbird. |
i hit 1.1 with my old 900 tbird... but that was with a h20 rig and a 156w pelt @ 12v.... 140fsb i believe, using a 7.5 or 8 multi of course
