Motherboard Recommendation
Im looking to buy 3 new motherboards. I need them to be able to use an XP1900+. Do not need to overclock them at all, and low cost would be a plus. An added benifit would be integrated LAN.

I run the Gigabyte GA-7vrxp and it's a rock solid board so far. It has onboard 6 channel sound and onboard LAN. The only thing I run on the board is my vid card. It has support for all the XPs but not a whole lot of overclocking features allthough you can adjust the AGP and memmory voltages and FSB but if you unlock your T-Bird or XP it will do you no good(no mutiplier settings).

Go for an Asus, with the Sis chipset, and with an included VGA, if you want that too.

Onboard audio, and it's $83 CDN...that'll be under $50 USD. Board has always gotten good reviews as a non OC'ing board. *edit* I checked price grabber...$52.95, and has optional 10/100 LAN. |
Eh, The K7S5A has mixed results for me.
When it works it works great. When it doesnt like me, its hell. Word of warning, DONT use DDR in the K7S5A! I have tried with 3 different boards and non of them worked corectly (blue screens all of the place in Win2K) SDRAM seems to be fine with any CPU I have noticed. |
