I did send Joe my 3.50, but have yet to hear from him :rolleyes: pffft, I'm sure he's just busy. I'm just impatient when it comes to money of any amount :dome: :D

I won the Vantec 6040H. Very happy, it was the only item I tried for, winning is cool, so is Joe.

I just finished re-reading the contest rules and it said nothing about having to join the forums to enter. I really don't want to sound like a sore winner by saying it, but... I won a shiny new HSF and you didn't. :p

Hey guys, sorry for not posting who won yet!!!

Life is running upside down right now... I am in a mad dash just to get moved into this new apartment in time and out of the current apartment in time. I have all the winnings and their names at work, so I will get them shipped out HOPEFULLY tomorrow, if not tomorrow, then Saturday.

Sorry for the delay, and I dont even have the name's of the people on hand to tell you right now! I hate moving!

Nope still sitting in a box here, need to get my machine back up for everyones name and addy ( thats where they were dloaded right before I shut it down to move) and also I have been out of town and just WAY too busy the past week to even think about it.

Sux, I didnt anticipate this big of a disruption from moving and all... total under estimation of it all. but its all good now.

His point is, I believe, that anybody will come along, hear about a contest, and try to leech free stuff. Just because they can. agent believes that this should have been a contest for existing posting members of the Pro/Forums/Chat. So it didnt get flooded with all the random oppertunity jumpers that just wanna grab hardware not caring what it is or where it comes from as long as its theres. As to the contrary existing members know the hardware and have application for it. And are always an active participant in the site and the scene. Not to say it was unfair that you won Art, because everybody had the same chances. But i can see agent's point on this matter.. And you were being a wiener about it. So either STFU and leave with your winnings, or become a posative contributing member. Either way. stop gloating or you are going to piss in everybody's corn flakes.

I actually first got interested in this site when the contest started. Before that, I had visited maybe every couple of days, but during the contest, I was checking the page every day. Even when the contest was over and I didn't win, I still found myself visiting the site every day. I eventually wandered in the forums after I had purchased a bunch of H2O gear looking for suggestions... The moral of the story is, I guess, that a contest can generate interest in a site and eventually bring in good people looking for a place to talk.

At this other forum I have been a member of for 2 years, there are regular contests, but the winners are always newbs who got lucky when stumbling upon the home page to find the contest. Am I mad? Not really, my reward for being a contributing member is getting and giving advice and feeling good about helping someone afterward. Its also rewarding to participate in debates that actually go somewhere. Sure, I want some free hardware now and then, but that has little to do with what I do in the forums. Then again, it's also wrong for someone to manipulate the rules in a contest intended to reward forum-goers, but I don't think that was the case this time.

Anyway, if your wondering what forum I spend most of my free time in, it's nvnews.net. Maybe I'll see ya around!:cool:

Do I know you? I ask because you must think you know me. Before you go telling anyone to STFU maybe you should take your own advice. Just because agent thought it should be a closed forum contest (and evidently you as well) the fact remains that it wasn't, but with all the crying I'm sure future contests will be (but now I can enter those as well). For you to assume that I just entered the contest to enter a contest with your line of "existing members know the hardware and have application for it." is quite presumptious, so again I ask, do I know you? In my post mentioning sounding like a sore winner and winning the HSF I wasn't gloating, I was kidding, but you will read into it whatever you want and I could care less, so go on thinking you are the defending voice of the forum and enjoy your big bowl of pissy corn flakes.

they shipped, and costa ****ing bundle... didnt know USPS changes the priority mail setup.. ****ing cost more than FedEx in some cases.

Joe.... tell me how much it cost to ship my rad to me, and I'll pay the rest of it. I appriciate teh free rad, but don't think you should have to pay for the rest of it.
