DOH PVC WONT UV LIGHT THROUGH
HI GUys my system has 3/4" 1/2" and 3/8" pvc tubing but my black light wont iluminate the dyelite in my water!!!! :(
can you get silicone tubing in the above sizes and will my dyelite glow???? |
Where did you buy the Dyelight from? I can't find it anywhere in the UK.
|
email me if you want some i can post you a few ml of the stuff (it's green by the way)
that should go a fairly long way considering a cap full did a whole buvket for me!!!! :p |
www.mcmaster.com carries all the sizes you list in silicon. Look in rubber tubing. I also hear tygon is good, but it's a form of PVC, so I don't know how it affects UV.
Also for the Darkhorse, try calling your local semi-truck shop. it's common use is for detecting leaks in big trucks, and I got some for free from my local Peterbilt dealer. You only need about a drop per litre. |
Is this true with all pvc tubing? Any one else use dye-lite? What tubing do you guys use? Sil,icone is cool, I just don't like how it kinks so easily.
