RE-Thinking rad/fan setup

HI
Maybe a little advise from some seasoned WC peeps will help me in the new project .

I have a 75 caprice HC with a 9 5/16" high X 6 1/2" wide fin area.
My initial thoughts were to mount 2 120mm front and 2 120mm rear with shrouds both sides in a push pull setup. Then it dawned on me that , ok!! lots of CFM`s .,lots of heat generated into case, maybe not such a good idea.Even if there will be a rear 92mm and top 120 mmm exhaust fan.so then a couple of thoughts came to mind and this is what i`m having trouble deciding on.

1: keep the idea of the 4 120mm and duct the heat out the bottom also maybe drop the 120mm and go 92mm keeping the same duct.

2: only duct the bottom fan in the group and leave the top fan to blow into the case.

3: do I really need the total of 4 fans at all and just go for 2 ducted out the bottom . with a fan mounted in side to aid heat dispertion inside the case.

Any help would be appreciated . :)

With a simmilar rad I used, only two fans were needed pulling air through the rad. I also used one six inch 235cfm fan which works just as good as the two 120mm fans but makes less noise.

i noticed
hayden rad with 2 120's right against it, no ducting +/-40°C load 12V
hayden rad with 2 120's , exhaust 92mm, no ducting +/-37°C load 12V
hayden rad with 1 120, shrouded to suck at 2/3 surface of radiator, exhaust 92mm, no ducting +/- 37°C

so, i think that in your setup, only 2 120's should largely do the trick, the extra 2 would only get you minimal temp decrease.

If you are case mounting, do yourself a favor and don't pump that hot air into your case. Suck the cold from outside and duct the hot directly out of the case. Worked wonders for me once I ducted my rad directly through my case instead of pumping the air inside.
