Brass plugs: Where?
Ok, I admit it, I must be stoopid:) I can't find those little brass plumbing plugs used to seal the holes in waterblocks and such. I found some aluminum ones at Pep Boys, but I don't think they would like my copper block.
Know what I'm talking about? Threaded, normally has a hex Allen type head, almost flush with the surface after it's screwed in. Erg, need about 10 to fix my mistakes:) |
did you try plumbing departments at home depot or lowes? I know what you are looking for... Its called an npt plug.
If you have 1/8" thread holes in your waterblock, you can get hardened steel ones at the paintball store... |
I did try Home Depot and Lowes, I guess I live in a plumbing deficient area, they only have the type with the square block of brass sticking out the top. Makes it very hard to mount my block:)

I think i know what your talking about. There called set screws. They are used to lock gears and things on shafts. You can find them at your local hardware store in the nuts & bolts section (at least at the store i work in). I found that the lowes where i live doesnt carry them, mabey yours does or your home depot. If you have a good local hardware store they should definatly have them.

A set screw is exactly what I'm talking about, only it's made of brass and I think has 1/8 inch NPT threads instead of straight. But I'll look tomorrow and see what I can find. Thanks!
