It has peltier/water-cooling and a peltier controller set for 18C.

The socket was originally sealed up with conformal coating, di-electric grease, and closed cell foam. But with the controller set above the dew point, there is no need :) .

I'm trying to figure out choices for tubing, it looks like your using silicon, but of what ID and wall size???

Looks pretty flexible that's why I'm wondering (cheap braided PVC cost me a AXIA "K" 1.33)

where did you get your pelt controller and how much did it cost?

The tubing is 1/2" ID silicon with ~2mm wall thickness (Guy, I replied to the email, I think it went??? Hotmail looks pretty screwy at the moment :confused: ).

The peltier controller is from a place in Australia called Oatley Electronics www.oatleyelectronics.com. You can use it for your computer or an esky fridge :D. It will cost you the grand total of... $17 Aus (or $9 US). Thats a bit better than $150+ US for the one I saw on www.overclockers.com a while back.

On the site it says the controller is a switch mode controller. A few of you will know that switching below 20,000 Hz is bad for peltiers - too much thermal stress. However, this controller switches at above 20,000 Hz, which is fine for peltiers. (This info is just off the top of my head. From memory, the figure of 20,000 Hz is the acceptable switching frequency for peltiers. Please correct me if I'm wrong!).

All in all, the postage will probably cost you more than the kit.
