Congrats on how well your block did in the shoot out vs. the maze 3. You have the best cooling, best looking and for it's performance the lightest block I've seen, and all in the same block. VERRRRY VERY NICE ! !
I've been looking around for some time now for the BEST W/B I could find anywhere on the web. Yours is that block, light + great cooling + great looks. WOW! ! A few here in the US may well be willing to pay the price for such a block, offering what it does. Please humor me, how much in US dollars to ship to the USA, both with and without the Intell base? I see your point on the cost. Found your block at (here it is RickCain) Overclockedpc's store. At nearly 90$ to the US for the Atlantis with a Intell mount it is expensive. But not sure but what I may have to get one. I may well wait until I make up my mind about the cpu I am going to buy first however. Might save the cost of the Intell mount that way, not to mention the cost of Intells cpu's as well.;) But no matter what I do, once again, yours is the best made for sale block I've seen. Great job! ! |

I have certain goals when I design a block, and try my hardest to stick to them. As you have rightly pointed out, cost is a big issue. The £ is still very strong, too strong for me to export properly to US and into som EU countries. Maybe this will change in the future - but Im not an economist :( |
The price is on par with the Maze3 here in the UK, I would have gotten one if I'd found out about it in time :( . How about getting a manufacturer in the States going?...

What was the minimum flow rate with your Atlantis block to get good performance? I relize more is better but is there a "sweet spot" where your blocks design really kicks in? |
i'd like to know the same thing blackeagle is asking. i currently have a maze2 with some (if i read bill a's work correctly) high flow rads, got the pump to deliver (1250); so i need a high flow block. are yours jessfm? at the moment i thk the swiftech line might suit my needs best.

sadly flow depends largely upon the rest of the system.
But 1048 is O.K , more = better. Personaly I see best performance around 800lph ( after this gains drop), this would require a 1250 without a rad loop, or 1060. Maybe I should specify min 600lph pump or better ?? Anyway, Dean took a little look (within his limitations) of a Maze3, Neptune & Atlantis. Thanks for your response. As I don't have a water cooling system yet this is the sort of info I'm looking into in advance of buying. I'm thinking of a system of dual rads (BIE or perhaps Deep), would the 1060 have the needed power to provide the flow with dual rads? System will also have NB and GPU blocks as well. Case will be a Lain-Li full tower. Any thoughts on best pump for such a system you can offer would be great. Late here, I'll post back tomarrow with better details of my thinking to this point. |

The Deeps have 14mm barbs on then as well ;), good flow, OCPC sell 14mm fittings(equal Y's and stuff) as well, if I could get a pump with the pressure/flow(Iwaki30RZT) I'd like to get dual Deeps, failing that I've not seen another rad that matches the Abyss.
I did'nt put enough R&D into my rig, if I was you Blackeagle I'd get it right first time, spend the money, but wizely... |
Right, firstly Ehiem have stopped making the 1062, its now gone to a 1260 ( 2000lph+), I would say a 1250 is ample TBH ( pump around rated around 1200lph freeflow)
If you want a large rad, the Abyss would be a better buy, (unless space restrictions) FYI the Deep Rev2 and Abyss both come with 3/8SBP threaded ports(thats thread size, port Diameter is about 11/16) these can take upto a 16mm OD barb ( 14mm ID). |

which one of the 3 UK resellers, would be most reliable to ship the block to belgium? i have some nasty experiences with belgian mod shops. cost is not the issue, better pay some £ more and get a good service. are there enough blocks to deliver without probs? thx for the time |

www.overclockedpc.co.uk are the only one IIRC that actualy ship outside of UK, but have a 2kilo limit per order ( weight based shipping) I know for a fact they have sent tuff into france, germany an sweden. The sites has the optio nto show prices in £GB $US and €EU , so should be pretty easy for yo uto work out costs. I sugest you check it out . |
