Suggestions for my waterblock design
I'm think to have a small base plate thickness with deep channels?
but u don't know what kinda design to do BTW i have a p4 2.0a |
You're going to make your own block? or get a shop to make it? what tools/skills do you have, that will partially determine what kind of block you can make.
also what pump will you use and what king of cooling are you going to use for the water (rad, evap ect.) |
i'm not doing it.. i got a guy to do it for me for free!
its just going to be a simple copper block with a rad and res |
not sure what pump yet
|
Well, if your having a friend do it for free, then keep it simple.
Nothing bugs someone more then being taken advantage of. So keep the design simple, so it doesnt take as long to machine. Also simple designs are sometimes the best. Stay with a base of about 5mm in copper a little less in aluminum. I have found that a slightly thinner base in aluminum yeilds a small return. Dont make it to thin that it could crack though. |
ya i need some designs too
btw i'll be making it myself so lets see them :D |

ok, here is a more serious one :)
giza1 seeing as you seem to have a hard time getting anything from us here :) should be a fairly straight forward mill, with a 90ยบ taper bit. will give good Copper to H2O ratio for the internal passage, good flow and has a fair amount of surface area... the aim with the pyramid design was first to be easy on the mill, and secondly have good performance.... |
