gone_fishin...about your w.pump...

I noticed you have been using a Rainbow Lifeguard Quiet One for a while now, and I have a few questions.

-Have you ever actually installed it INSIDE a PC?
-How much heat does this 87watt pump put out?
-What is your long term opinion of this pump?

I had to ask because this is the first pump I have seen that I like the size vs the output. (Plus I can get it locally)

It is a little pricey....so be picky about things...it is a fairly expensive pump.

thanks

Bump
It'd be real cool to get your opinion on this pump.
(or anybody else's on this pump)

I have not installed it inside because I don't really need to and I take the loop down frequently to swap blocks. I cannot quantify the heat it gives off other than to say it gets warm. It is a direct drive pump which allows for massive waterflow if you have a loop which allows it as I do. I think it would be easy to find room in a full tower case for it. It is very quiet when running and I do run it 24hrs a day so it gets an A+ for being reliable so far and living up to its name from me:)
If you can get it local, bring it home and find a place for it in the case, you can always bring it back for a cheaper one if you cannot gain an advantage with it. Also keep in mind that it comes in two models where the exhaust is either top or side, choose the one that goes best with the location you plan in the case.

Want to talk reliable, and I am sure I will get flames for sure. But my little rio I got from DTEk has been running 24/7 for almost 2 years now. Only been off for 10 - 30 minutes every so often for system changes. I love this little sucker.

Yeah, but I probably moved more water in a few months than your two years.

:evilaugh:
