Lian Li PC60 radiator choice?

I've got a Lian Li PC60 mid tower case and I'd like to setup a water cooling system. I'd really like to mount the radiator in the lower front part of the case (right behind the main air intakes). Unfortunately, it looks like this area is a little too small to mount a 120mm fan in.

Has anyone successfully put a 120mm fan and radiator in this location? If so, which radiator was it? If you've got a PC60 or equivalent case, where did you put the radiator?

Thanks,
Ted

Something like that.

That looks OK. Pump/res. at the bottom and radiator mounted in the blow hole. I was hoping to find a way to mount the radiator in the bottom. Mainly to get the coolest air flow over the fins.

I am trying to get a very quiet system, not a super high performing one. I was going to try to keep the number of fans to an absolute minimum so the interior of the case may end up getting a little warm. Mounting the radiator in the blow hole would just blow this warm air over the fins.

What kind of radiator is that?

The other option I was thinging of is mounting the radiator on the side panel and ducting air from the front fans to the radiator.

Black Ice extreme with a 0.5" fan duct on it. There is a filter on the underside.

Dig around the Pro/forums; there was a guy who put a BeCooling cube radiator in the lower front of his PC-60. Might give you more ideas.

On Brad's note about the BeCooling cube....

I fyou decide that you like that option, I will have one up for sale here pretty soon. that is if you are interested.

Does anyone have any thoughts on mounting the radiator in the blow hole but having it intake from there? The air coming in from outside the case should be much cooler than inside the case. The power supply exhaust and my rear exhaust fan should provide enough flow to remove the hot air.

I don't have any data (or experience for that matter) with this type of setup but it seems like it would provide better water cooling performance than exhausting the internal air out the blow hole. The air inside the case must be warmer than outside.

I concur. Consider some ducting to just send the radiator's hot exhaust out the PSU.
