Vapochill is back!

It looks like Vapochill is back

(never mind the poor preview, that says that R-134A is cooler...!)

Yup. Still more expensive then the Prometia though.

might be ok for some people but if you use amd xp2100 and up that heat will put a hurting on the vapochill. here is a link to the compressor used in the new unit.

type in bd50f in the search window to look at the specs.compressor is a 12 volt model.

I managed to find the pdf for it, but there are 2 capacity charts. What's up with that?

Off hand, it looks like it might run at -20 for a non-OC'd Athlon XP, but if we increase the heat load to 150 Watts, it would barely pull -5.

not sure i cannt remember the two.i will try to look it up tonight but i think it is refering to low temp usage and med temp usage.low terp usage will show less watts than the chart for med temp

The Prometeia compressors are

Euro - Danfoss NL11F used

Here 3D Velocity Review

And Here The Naked Review

And the NF9FX

Here at Overclockers Review

One advantage of the ProMe over the Vapa is that it does'nt draw power from the PSU but the Mains

This is a good shoot-out over at HardWare Test

What du ya think ?

Nice review!

I guess Vapochill is NOT back after all...

*mat-ster* 09-13-2002 03:05 PM

The Vapa Premium Edition (160W) has better cooling, one thing to consider in the shoot-out is it's the standard Vapa Model. Mk II Vaporchill

The price for a Vapochill (standard) has fallen, here in UK

I agree with your appraisal about the review Ben, the test rig was very clever!

Another point to consider "Chip-con promised to look into the possibility of placing the probe closer to the CPU" from what I can gather this has now been done in the latest models of the ProMe

mobuis 10-04-2002 02:17 PM
