Audigy 2: Electric Boogaloo

Nice..... Now if they can just get rid of the whole VIA chipset problem, it would be perfect! :)
Sorry for the pestimism, but I have had nothing but problems with my last few Creative cards; the Live 5.1 and the Audigy that I got a while back. |
It's not really just a problem with the VIA chipsets, the sound blaster cards just have a very poor compatability rating in general. They deffinately have nice features, but I've had problems with them of some sort in every single system I've ever built.

When I have used them in Intel based machines, they seem to work just fine.
But I have to agree, I have been really disappointed in their products ever since they started using their new EAX chips..... From what I understand, they bought out another company that made some nice audio chips and then slapped them on their board and called it a day :) (Figuratively, of course) IMHO they need to go back to their original ways and make their own chips and get back to their SB16 - SB64AWE quality products. |
