LCD and Temp Monitoring

Trying to figure out the ideal setup... Im looking at measuring inline water temps at 5 locations, use probes in 2 locations and use MBM as well:P Dont care so much for automatic fan control as I have a rheobus I can use...

What do you guys recommend? Im wondering if the small display on the digidoc will be annoying to monitor so many temps. The only two items I could find were the Crystalfontz 633 and digidoc.
Anyone know of any 20X4 LCDs that do temp monitoring?

Also, do I really get any real benefit using a flat thermistor under the CPU core as opposed to using MBM?
