Northbridge mesurements.

Does anyone have them lying around?
I have done quite a few searches, to no avail.
I can't measure my own, simply because I can't risk taking it off (system is on the brink of death and must last till the new year).

I figure I will whip up a northbridge block with my drillpress.

Thx in advance.

Old Dangerden chipset block had Center to Center hole distance: 2 5/16" according to their site. I think somewhere between 40x40 and 50x50 will work out for northbridge dimensions.

#rotor had a nice and easy way to make holddowns for chipset blocks, but his site's down now.

the default is 59mm..... for most, but some boards are different....

my hold down looks like this.... and it employs the KISS philosophy to it maximum. :D

my A7V 333 is 54.8mm apart. U have to check where the mountnig holes r at. This pic illustrates the 3 most common mounting positions. got it off the webby of a NB cooling company, which i have forgotten the name.

thx everybody, and just by looking at mine, they are at 59mm, right accross the heatsink. I am still looking at hold down methods, and am working on the design as we speak (prolly gonna be a two channel block, from one corner to the other (not too worried about max efficiency, considering my air heatsink can work without a fan on it now, and its barely 1/2cm thick).

KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid or
KISS = Keep It Super Simple,

Can't remember which?

As used by CRKT knives right?
