Check it :) Hitachi to release water cooled laptop ..... guess water cooling is hitting the mainstream!

I've seen a few lesser known brands using some WC techniques.

I don't think theres much else they can do if they want to cool these new CPUs and keep the size down.

oooh. I wonder how difficult it would be to mod my plasma screen to be watercooled *grin* I never thought of that!!!!!!!!

No mo, the heat is dissipated into the screen.

Some items of interest:
flow rate: 0.3 oz per minute (0.14 gph) which means that there's probably no pump.

Total capacity: 1.7 to 2 oz

While my panasonic is not too bad it still gets nice and toasty after being on for 10 hours or so... The NEC we have at the office gets a lot hotter though... Anyways, I just found the idea cool but Id be a bit nervous to screw around with such an expensive piece of equipment:P I made a promise when I bought that thing that it would last me at least 15 years!!!!

As for the rest, the coolant temp does seem kinda high... Ive been seeing news releases on hitachis watercooled notebook for about a year and a half now so there seems to have been a lot of research gone into it. Im eager to see what the finished product will look like.
