dedicated 12v or 15v psu for te MCW-50T ??

right now im running it on an extra 300w generic psu (11amps on the 12v line) and it is working fine... only i'd like to get this for it

i can either get the 12v @ 12.5amps
or the 15v @ 10amps

im worried that if i get the 15v @ 10amps it will push the TEC to hard???

Quetion #2... can i use one of those relay kits to turn on the dedicated psu ? (one for pump one for the psu)? the relay from swiftec says it rated for 12v 16amp i think... does that mean i can only use it with a 12v psu? (which would mean i must go with the 12v @ 12.5amps psu)


btw, right now my temps on the back of the 9700Pro core are ~1.5C idle, and 14C full load looping 3dmark Nature (9c gaming)

or whould this powersupply be just as good for $30.00 less!

sorry, im a newb at TEC cooling... i have a whole watercooled circuit for the 9700pro only btw

You want to run that specific TEC at 12V. At 15V you will have diminishing returns and your performance will probably suffer. A TEC that small can be run safely from a good power supply, no need for a separate PSU.

It won't HURT the TEC to run it at 15V though. It's rated for 15.2V, and will pull 8A at that voltage. As hmale mentioned, there is no need to run it at 15V as the max efficiency is around 12V.
