Wooden Bong
 

I started building a wooden bong a couple of days ago and i am almost finshed. The dimensions are (for the water tube) 2" by 10' and 4"10' complete with the fan shaft. I used a normal house fan and hooked up a smaller fan prop that i found. I havent tried it with a pump yet but I tried it with hot water main runing at fall blast. Went from 70-80 c to ambient. Air displacement is awesome. I am currently writing up an article and will be doen in a week or so. The wood is laminated with that plasic book cover stuff and ductaped like crazy. I am going to install a copper water collector in the bottom so there should be no leaking (no water will touch the wooden boards). Excuse my brief writing (in a hurry) Please write any comments (or mockings :)

Looks good. Much more attractive than the PVC ones (although _much_ larger, by the looks of things...).

hmmmm....were any drugs used in the making of that cooler??? what kind of temps do you get?

It is almost finished, just gotta get the 1/2 fittings and i will be ready with it. As you can see i put a plastic bin in the bottom and all the water goes in it without it even TOUCHING the sides of the well waterproofed walls.

Well, it looks good - but will it leak or not.

Nope. You see the water falls nicely in the collector. And i siliconed the connection between the hose and te collector. I will get some more pics up and some temp readings soon.

And to get the pics you have to put the url in your browser.

I'm getting "daily bandwidth exceeded" notices. Any other image host you may want to try?

You need to paste the url into your browser for it to work. And for the bandwith exceeded thing, I am working on finding a better host for my pics. The current host only allows 16megs a day.

Looks good, you may want a larger spray patern. I also found that having the water go through something like a screen or fabric and having the air push throught it form under it helps a lot.
