Is this tight enough?

I have a maze3(copper top). My setup is pump -> chevette heatercore /w(panaflo l1a 68.1cfm and 3/4 shroud) -> block -- 1/2" system. 2 80mm exhaust fan/chenming aluminum case. I used AS3 accordingly, and yet my temps are some what disappointing 39c running prime95 for an hour(case temp 21c - i live in canada :) ) System Specs: abit kx7-333, xp1600 11.5x166@1.8vcore, 431w enermax.

Here's a pic of the block

Thanks in advance.

Hello & welcome ...

If you try and wiggle the block, does the block move or does the motherboard flex. as far as i'm concerned i would scres some more until the block cannot be moved independently from the socket anymore.

That's a nice overclock!, my AGOIA will only go 1750ish with default voltage. temps do seem abit high (pun intended;) ), my CPU (KX7R)diode reads 32DegC at the moment with a room temp of 22DegC (case is 31, soundbastard 5.1 is like a toaster!), though with socket diodes you can never be sure, though IMO most inacuracy(well..., the big ones) is caused by Fans blowing under the socket...

looking again, is your block seated properly?, Cathar said somewhere if they are'nt put on right they 'ride/lift on the socket lip', and yours looks like it is!!, mines the other way up than yours and I can see a gap between the 'raised lip' and the blocks edge!,
CHECK IT OUT NOW!! ...

I think MadDogMe is right your block is 180deg out and it resting on the socket lip. Turn is around and try agian.

I've never seen it stated in any instructions anywhere, it just seemed logical to me to have the outlet coming out on the righthand side because the pump is (nearly always) on that side, beats having the tubes crossed. I don't 'spose you could see it without the lexan top though! :) , but the furthest off~centre barb is the outlet, it should be on the right side, not left...

CHECK IT SOON!! , please!...

I see it now! I thought that the intake on the WB would be closest to the rad(in front of the case), it made sense at the time :(

Anyways, I'll try your suggestions and report back. I just hope that I don't have to take the tubing out and refilling the system(pain in the ar$e, noisy pesky bubbles, etc.)

By the way, at best(/w TT volcano7/air) it did 1975mhz@1.9v stable enough to fold and run loops with 3dmark. With water, I believe I can get this gem to 2ghz /w 2v :D

thanks guys!

Build an airtrap. It'll make your life easier. Once you use one, you'll never go back (I hated getting the air out because no matter how hard you'd try, you'd always miss some. Pissed me off).

NERD 12-03-2002 08:34 PM

What's an exactly an airtrap? I use a t-line, but it's not at the highest point :(
It takes about 2-3 hours(/w manual labour) to get those pesky air bubbles out. I'll post some pics of my set up on a another thread.

And btw, MADDOG, thanks a lot for pointing the culprit out :D
Case 26c, Load 37c 11.5 x 170@1.85v folding for about an hr now :)

Room temp is about 24-25c.
