Got the bug :/

Okay i,v got the water cooling bug ...

I broke down and made a trip to frys store and picked up a few things

I picked up a swiftech MCW372 r2 WB also got there RAD and fill & bleed kit all with the quick connect adpters and 3/8" tubing....and a Ehaim 1048 pump

I still need to make a trip to radshack and pick up bits and peaces for a pump relay and i need a few 120 mm fans thinking of the Enermax adjustable ones ..

Oh picked up a new xp 2100 cpu while i was at it lol

My set up now is a soyo SY-k7ADA running a 1.2 @1.4 ghz T-bird with a Volcano 7 + heatsink fan..385 mb of pc 2100 DDR 2x80 gigs IBM 7200 HD.s and a 60 gig 7200 maxtor ...A GF 3 ti 500 gainward golden sample ...sony Cd-burner and a digi doc 5

I have one 120 mm fan on the side of the case a 80 mm at the front and 2 slots fans at the back pluss a 60 mm blowing on the
gf 3 card ..the cpu temps are never more than 5 to 8 dgrees over case temps ...

I have a midtower case but its a little bit on the small size so this should be fun to get all this to work together the spec for the case are Height 15" length 17" width is 7 1/2 "

I,m not looking at doing much OC,ing with the new cpu ..I,m just got so tired of the screaming fans so i hope after sspending the $ It gona be a wee bit quieter :p

It be after Xmas before i find the time to hack and slap all this together But i,l try and post before and after pics of it all ...

BTW: great board

Ay~up! :) ...

I don't know if Enermax are 25mm fans, but if they are maybe get some 38mmthick ones, they've more static pressure...

Thanks MadDogMe I didnt give the static pressure much thought But guess i should look at that also ....was just looking at the cfm :(

You have any recommendation or advice on make and models ...I like the ideal of adjustable so i can play around with the balance between noise and keeping it cooled ...

io novice (your true nick is a bit difficult :D )

u will b delighted with the watercooling. but, beware. from now on you will never be happy with what you got. improvement will always be around the corner (more rads, different loop, other WB). changing a cooling setup can however easily be made better (try doing your aircooling better, cooling will always be paid with exponential noise increase).

so the possibilities will always be endless. thats what most here love about it. prepare for freak and geekdom.

LOL

Amen to that!!!:p
