the inlets and tanks on top of a rad
when mounting a radiator vertically, should the inlets(attached to the small tanks) always be mounted above the rest of the rad or is it possible to mount it the other way around, will this affect performance?

I've seen someone mount a radiator upside down.
I believe the important part is getting the air out of the radiator. |
mfpmax has it.
Once the system is bled of air, it is of next to no consequence which way you mount the radiator except for whichever way is easiest for you to route tubing. Just lie it flat with the barbs pointing up when bleeding, and give it a good shake every few minutes until all the air is out of it. Then you can stick it wherever way you want. |
