Swifty's New Kit
|
Yeah, this time it comes with their own radiator instead of a modified tranny cooler.
|
I guess. Looks like a Black Ice Micro to me. I wouldn't personally use that to cool a CPU and a video card, but to each his own. Have I mentioned before that I really don't see the purpose of wc setups with the lil 80mm radiators? Are you really gaining that much surface area over say an Alpha PAL8045? You have to gain surface area to balance out the additional thermal junctions, eh?

I too thought it was a Black Ice series...but its not I believe...not 100% sure, but I think they had someone make one custom for these new kits.
But I haven't seen a Black Ice Micro up close long enough anyway, as I don't care to pay attention to those. |
yes it's a Micro...they just renamed it. I know....I saw it. So basically this kit's rad is a big no no.

Hey, another fellow Montrealer! Welcome!
I think that this kit, along with a lot of the kits out there is good for non-OC'ers. Nice, simple and effective. Nothing fancy. I like the thickness of the BIM, but I'd need several of them, considering the heatload I'm looking at (CPU, northbridge, maybe a GPU, maybe a PSU (maybe 3!), maybe a regulator, and eventually a couple of Pelts). |
