Any high performance TECs for this psu

I found an old power supply that came with the house in my workshop. The DC Fuse on it reads 32v @ 15a. I powered it up and found its voltage range is between 20 and 26vdc, when ever I change move the Volt Adjustment knob. I have no clue how many amps this thing can handle because my multimeter only goes up to 10. It arched and killed the fuse on my multimeter.

So any ideas to which pelt I should use, just imagine cooling as not a problem.

Hehe, I'd love to see the way you tested the current draw on that thing :dome: If you haven't got any loading slugs at 1/x ohm, I wouldn't try that again.

Although it is old, it still comes with OVP and I had a 24v heating element on it for a load.

Sounds like the "Drift 0.8" 172 Watt TEC would be the best choice with that supply.
