Opel Kadett Heatercore
 

Bought an Opel Kadett Heatercore. The cooling area is 16 cm wide, 18 cm high. 6,35" x 7,14" that is. My problem is fitting this thing into my Antec SX630 (Chieftec? Who knows...), that is the smaller Antec without the door, but rather the same design, 3 CD-ROM slots, one 3,5".
The Heatercore isn't too big, but the pipes/fittings are the problem. The look like this, rather than like this. You see? Those periscope like things make the HC too high. Should I drill holes for them through my floppy =) or should I cut them off and put some nice fittings facing the right direction on the tanks instead?

Are you able to mount the heatercore upside down? Cause I had to modifiy my SX635 for my heater core and as soon as you do that, you may lose complete use of the HD cage if you plan to put it back.

How do you mean upside down? In the lower front, with the pipes against the bottom? If I do that, it's still to high. If I don't mount it in the ceiling, the HD cage is lost, yes. =)
I tried it lying on the floor, but nope. I either have to cut the pipes, fix new ones, (the HD cages goes, but the 2 3,5" slots survive) or mount it in the ceiling, thus loosing, if not all CD-ROM slots, at least one (but saving my HD cage) =).
Ideas?

If you feel you are able to cut/cap the pipes and tap the tanks, then go for it.

Cause I wanted to remove my HD cage, and be able to reinstall it, but the little latch part it latches onto had to be removed for my heater core.

No more HD bays for me :(
