Tygon or ClearFLEX 60
 

Which one should I get. I'm about to order the upgrade parts to my water cooling system, and I'm not sure which one to get?

Depends if money is a factor. If don't mind spending about $6 per meter of tubing, go with Tygon. You'll get Clearflex for half the price. Tygon really rocks and is really the most flexible, smooth, and resistant tubing i've seen. Clearflex will work just fine if you're on a budget.

Thanks for the reply, but I am still undecided on which tubing I should go with. Is Tygon really that much better than ClearFLEX to really cost almost twice as much? I would like to spend the least amount of money possible without sacraficing quality, so if I get the Tygon tubing I would like to know if its worth the price or will ClearFLEX do. Thanks

Tygon is definately worth the price......at least it was in my case. I even went so far as to buy some "not-normaly-stocked" tygon from one of our fellow form members JUST because it is that good.

You wont regret getting it.

From my experience with both I'd have to say that paying twice as much for Tygon is not worth it. Clearflex tubing is essentially the same stuff. In fact, if it weren't for the markings on the tubing I'd bet that most would have a problem telling the two apart.

But the stuff i,m using that came with swiftech kit works great and when i needed more i just ran down to the local Home depo and picked up 10 feet of clear vinyl tubing for less than $3 lol and it seem to be working great with no kinks its clear as glass I been happy with it :)

The normal PVC tubing that you can get at the hardware store isn't too bad, so long as you opt for the 1/8" walled stuff... the thinwall tubing isn't great for bends, though that goes for the thinwall Tygon and Clearflex as well. I do feel that it's worth the money to go with a premium PVC though.

I would get SMC (pneumatic company, www.smcusa.com) polyurethane tubing

I had the same question, and I had a hard time finding a good comparison. However, using my h4x0r powers (actually, just google :() I found what I needed before I bought the stuff.

According to them, the ClearFlex can take more bending, but is a little more flexible. Honestly, this stuff seems a lot more flexible than shown in the picture. The only thing is that the ClearFlex doesn't seem to retain its clearness. I really can't see paying another dollar or more per foot.

That's some ClearFlex on my TC-4 :D. I was actually worried that the ClearFlex would be crappy before I bought it, fearing it would be no better than generic PVC tubing. Alas, my fears were for nothing, it sure is swell tubing. :D
