What are your thoughts about the suitability of this pump for use in a water cooled PC.

Block would be White Water and rad would be Dtek Pro core?

It's rated 420Gph with a max head of 14ft.

That name looks familiar! :) The Iwakies are great pumps, but Cathar himselfs says there was not much temp difference from a 180gph pump to a 370gph pump. I think that pump is serious overkill. I don't think you really want to dump that much cash on one. Here is some alternatives http://www.aquatictech.com/pumps.html
I would stay away from the Rio's. The rest I hear decent things about.

No, not much difference from 160 to 320 to 600gph pumps, but then I was using pumps that dispersed a lot of heat into the water, which the Iwaki's don't. ie. what benefit I was seeing from higher flow rates was being overwhelmed due to the warmer water temps from the hotter stronger pumps.

The Iwaki's disperse most of their motor heat into the air. If there was any high flow/head pump that I'd recommend above something like an Eheim 1250, then the Iwaki MD20-RZ (note the Z - referring to the high pressure head model) would be the one.

You'd gain about 1C or so by using one on a hot CPU under full load.

As Cathar has said, if you're going with an Iwaki 20 series pump, the RZT is the only one to consider. You might want to consider paying the premium in order to get the Japanese motor, as there is a noticable difference in the noise level and operating temperature between the two.

I got an iwaki MD-20RZ recently, very happy with it's performance, it's lost me at least 2 degrees c off the water temp in my evaporative cooling, never mind the performance advantage it will deliever in an appropriately designed water block.
