Silver Colored Valves

Hi guys,

I'm making an attempt at a valve system. When I went to the local hardware store and found some valves in a silver color next to the brass ones. The lever on the silver ones were smaller than the ones on the brass ones. I prefer to have smaller levels but I'm concerned with mixing it with my copper setup. Does anyone know what the silver ones are made of and coated with? I could have asked the the hardware store worker but I didn't have any friends with me at the time to translate Japanese for me.

Thanks for the help in advance,
Modru

They could be stainless steel

How dangerus is it to use the one in stainless stell versus those in brass?

stainless steel should be inert.

What do you mean by inert.?

I meant chemically non-reactive (at least as far as galvanic reactions with copper are concerned).
