you mean heat?

I think anand had some on his 2800+ review, or was it his 2600+ review? Either way, he definately had some charts up recently

Tables? Why use a table when you can use a calculator :)

Those things are wrong though. We need specs from AMD. Well not sure how far off though. That one looks like it used AMD specs?

Okay then here you go. The numbers are the same though.

That's a 104 page PDF, and the info isn't in it.

Anyone else?

What are you looking for ?
If it's heat dissipation tables see pages 22,23 (for the 266's) and 27 (for the 333's).

Well, what do you know! It's there!

(after a little chopping, to meet the 75kb limit  ):

gmat 02-05-2003 02:03 PM

Nice :) But you forgot Tbreds, page 23 (Table 2)

and here are those 333's, by themselves.

I'm not buying those tables at all. look at some of the speed grades giving the same power output. How is amd able to raise the speed 67 or 83mhz without any increase in heat output at all?

Ketchak 02-05-2003 03:42 PM

Sorry, I explain myself.
In ComputerNerd there is a "Thermal Dissipation Calculator" with an option that specifies "Athlon Model 8 Thoroughbred XP Famili/Architecture:A Generation:XAD"
Selecting the model and the voltage of the processor it calculates the dissipated watts.
I suppose that that method is not valid to calculate "Tbred´s B.
Some compatible similar method with Tbred´s B or this is valid?

I have yet to see a good calculator. We all thought Radiate was good, but it fell off with TBreds.

Otherwise, your answer is there.

Hrm, good point. Theres even a point there where the voltage is raised .05V without a W output increase. That cant be right, AMD must be skimping on the details.
