pins? hmm
what about converting an HSF that has pins, like this one http://www.monster-hardware.com/reviews/mcx462+%201.htm OR the alpha pal 8045 the only problem is the aluminum pins and copper base |

I think there is some hope for PIN style blocks. After making my Lemon Block I think there are much easier ways of getting similar performance.
http://www.customcooledpc.com/aluminumWB5/004.JPG http://www.customcooledpc.com/aluminumWB5/005.JPG It worked alright, and would do much better in Copper, but Istill think a couple pits drilled into the base of a flat peice of copper is just as good if not better. |
