Sharing files between Mac OS X and Windows PCs

Was messing around today and decided that I'd like my Mac to not only be able to access my PC's files, but also print off of its computer. All went well. Apple made this process quite easy. However, I can't seem to get the Apple Mac OS X PC visible under Network Neighborhood (W98). Any ideas?

I remember messing around with that function with one of my private consulting clients. He wanted to access Mac files from his PC and his PC files from his Mac.

From what I can recall, you need to setup a Samba server on the Mac side and then use that to allow the Mac files to be seen on the PC. The Samba service is built into the Max OS X but it needs to be activated.

When I talked to the techs at Apple, they kept refering me to their website and doing searches for "File Sharing between PC and Mac" or something like that.

I will check through my e-mails and see if I still have the web address.

BTW make sure that BOTH machines have identical user names and password accounts setup to avoid MANY problems when trying to access the machines later.
