Water-pump can it be placed like this?
Can the water-pump be standing like this?
I'm going to have a air-trap above the pump (Enheim 1048). http://www.myllclan.com/Oli/Pumpe.JPG Edit: Picture didn't show up |
I assume from your mentioning having an air trap, you want to mount your eheim with the inlet facing up into the bottom of the airtrap and the outlet pointing out horizontally across the case.
Nod if this is so?! If that is the case, you shouldn't have any problems with the pump. However, you might want to take measures to prevent a "whirlpool" from allowing air to get into the pump. 8-ball |
Yes, thats what I have in mind.
How do you prevent a "whirlpool"? Increase the distance from the air-trap? |
Is that a tight fit for the IDE, power/HDD, on/off/reset, and speaker connectors?
Should work fine that way though. |
It's going to be placed under the 3.5" slots you see at the top of the picture
|
Does it matter which way your pump is turned? I am going to have the out-let pointed down. And the inlet pointed sideways (of my maxi-jet). My reservouir will be suspended by magical pixie dust. No really it will be set across the rails that your PS sit on, between the CD-rom and PS. If you don't get how it will work don't worry it's kinda wierd but it will work. And I will post pics of the whole system when it done.
