HeaterCore Question

HeaterCore Question
I've been looking for a good heater core and a copper one to boot. I need one 9-10"L,5-7"W,2-3"T i've looked through the heater core database and have found the following.
2-144,2-204,2-342

But I can't find 2-144 at nappa but I found these two.

2-342

2-204

Does anyone have any experience with any of these? Plus how does one tell if the HC is copper?

Most HC's that are Copper/Brass look like the ones you linked. The AL ones look wierd ( hahah bad word), or in other words they look different than these types.

A definite way to see if it is copper, is to get past the oxidation and inspect the metal. Scratch the surface and it should look yelloy/orange.

If you want a large heater core get a 1975 Caprice, about $23.00 at Auto ZOne all copper and brass. Two 120 MM fans fit on it easily.

If you want a smaller unit, 6" wide and 8" tall with tanks, get a Chevette '86 from Auto ZOne $17.99 all brass and copper.
